At Natural Habitats we care about our smallholders, their communities and social impact we have and can make in the areas of our operations. Social responsibility is integrated into our value system and we are continuously working towards the betterment of our society.
Children are the future of our community, in order to have a strong and healthy community it is essential that the children be with a healthy body and a positive mind. For this reason we have developed a football training program in Ecuador for children. Under this program we provide football training to more than 200 boys and 16 girls across four communities through professional coaches and try to contribute in the overall development of the child.
Our football training program teaches children the sense of discipline and sportsmanship, necessary for their brighter future in any field they decide to go. It helps to keep them away from drugs and alcohol. Playing football can help children to improve their relationship with their family members, especially with their mothers who play an important role in their development. Playing regular football might give these children an opportunity to play for the national or international team in the future!
