We should always stay informed about what we consume. There is a wide variety of ingredients and ways of production, which may be potentially harmful if we do not do our research properly.
Checking your labels is imperative, but still the differences of natural and organic products seem to create confusion and misunderstanding. Today, we are going to set the record straight what each one of them means.
Both natural and organic products refer to the way producers grow and process agricultural products such as fruits, vegetables, dairy products, grains, and meat. Natural and organic products are not interchangeable; there is a huge difference between them ! The natural products are usually minimally processed but there is no actual definition, making natural products wide and vague in scope. On the other hand, organic products are heavily regulated; the definition certifies the fact that there are no pesticides, no chemicals and hormones used in the final product. The producers of organic products are subjected to a number of audits- announced and unannounced inspections conducted by third-party inspectors to ensure compliance to the organic standards. More information can be seen in the image from: Organic Trade Association .
Now, we know better about the differences between organic and natural products. To sum up, organic is naturally different - no pesticides, no chemicals or hormones in the product . So, what are we waiting for? Let’s #livelifeorganic!
Let us know what you think! Like to keep informed and share the organic love!
