Organic crude palm oil is a red oil which has been used for centuries for culinary and medicinal purpose among indigenous tribes in Africa. In crude form it contains high levels of natural antioxidants, carotenoids (Vitamin A) and the full spectrum of tocopherols and tocotrienols (Vitamin E).
Palm oil is a non-hydrogenated vegetable fat (zero trans fat) with a high melting point (37°C/99°F), which makes it a very practical multi-purpose vegetable fat. Palm oil can sustain high cooking temperatures without heat damage.
Palm oil consists of various solid and liquid fractions. These fractions can be separated through a process called fractioning. This results in a hard (palm stearin) and soft (palm olein) fraction with a respectively high and low melting point. Both fractions have different properties and characteristics making it attractive for a wide range of product applications. Our organic palm oil is produced in South America and West Africa.
